The Pilot Talk trilogy combines the three entries in his most well-known series into one long, mellifluous head-nod. Memory Lane and the ones following it were my favorites on the project. His laconic delivery, plush beats, and clever word choices (on Silence he’s High when I stroll/Not even leaving footprints in the snow) perfectly complement highs of all varieties and legalities. Memory Lane was the first stand out track when I was listening. I think I may like it more than PT3, but only because the vibes are super chill. PT1 is still the best one IMO, but I enjoyed this nonetheless. It’s supposed to be more lyrical and probably more tracks.
I like when the best rock at the end but this is supposed to be PT4. This Week This Month 17 Benny The Butcher 'Tana Talk 4' Continues His Streak Of Solid Bar-Filled Rap 22 Conway The Machine ‘God Don't Make Mistakes’ Is A Monument To His Depth As An Artist. The intricate lyrics tell the story of a remarkably consistent independent artist whose musical empire has become far more like a multi-million dollar drug ring than a underground rap operation. Yet complaining on Twitter how Curreny is charging for his music after releasing no fewer than two free albums in the past is just plain spiteful. A closer listen reveals that the lyrical content has far more depth than the "Weed Rap" stigma that has become synonymous with his sound. I think this works perfectly with the dream-like production and the entire album plays like a constant stream of consciousness and soul.
